I am working with a highly respected insurance brokerage that is looking to appoint a Senior Account Manager to support its SME to General Commercial portfolio, focusing solely on existing business. This is a senior servicing and relationship-led role, suited to an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys managing insurer and internal relationships, overseeing renewals, and ensuring long-term portfolio performance - without direct client interaction.
The Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you'll take ownership of a defined book of existing SME to General Commercial business, acting as the key relationship manager between Account Executives, insurers, and internal stakeholders. You'll ensure renewals are delivered smoothly, coverage is appropriate, and insurer relationships are leveraged effectively to support retention and profitability. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the strength of the portfolio while supporting the wider team with technical expertise and strategic input.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of existing SME to General Commercial business
- Act as the central relationship manager for Account Executives and insurer partners
