An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced London Market broker to join a specialist insurance business in a senior leadership capacity.

This is a hands‑on role that combines broking expertise, strategic leadership and team management, offering the chance to play a key role in the continued growth of an established and successful platform.

Rather than stepping into a business that requires rebuilding, you will be joining a well‑established operation with strong market relationships, consistent deal flow and significant opportunities for further growth.

This position has been created to strengthen the leadership team and drive continued commercial success.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for leading placement activity across complex Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines business while managing and developing a team of placing brokers.

Initially, the role will remain hands‑on from a broking perspective, with increasing leadership responsibilities as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the placement of complex Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines risks into the London Market.
  • Drive improvements in market engagement, responsiveness and overall placement strategy.
  • Increase quote‑to‑bind conversion rates through effective placement execution.
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of placing brokers.
  • Oversee service delivery throughout the full placement lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, producers and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and help shape future growth.
  • Implement improvements to processes, team structure and operational standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive London Market broking experience.
  • A strong background placing Professional Indemnity and/or Financial Lines risks.
  • Experience working with delegated authority or binding authority business would be advantageous.
  • Established relationships across the London insurance market.
  • Previous leadership, management or mentoring experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to deliver results.
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to influence change and improve performance.
  • The ambition to take on broader leadership responsibilities over time.
