An established Lloyd’s insurance broker is recruiting for an experienced qualified accountant to join them as their Group Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Group CFO and supervising a small team.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the Finance Department, ensuring systems and controls are established and followed.
- Supporting the Group CFO and International CEO on the financial management and development of overseas subsidiaries.
- Overseeing the implementation of investment and hedging policies.
- Managing the annual audit process across the Group.
- Overseeing compliance with all aspects of Company Law (UK companies) and providing advice to overseas subsidiaries as needed.
- Managing tax compliance and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant with technical insurance accounting knowledge gained within an insurance broking business.
- Knowledge of FCA CASS requirements.
- Senior management exposure and people management experience.
- Technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
