A growing and ambitious Lloyd’s Broker is seeking an Energy Technician to join its London-based Energy Division. Working closely with Brokers and Producers, you will provide high-quality technical support to ensure efficient placement and servicing of Energy risks within the London Market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and expanding platform with strong market relationships and a specialist energy focus.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the placement and ongoing servicing of Energy business, ensuring documentation, premium processing, and compliance requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Brokers and Producers with the placement and servicing of Energy risks
- Preparing, processing, and issuing documentation including Quotations, MRC Slips, Endorsements, Debit and Credit Notes
- Ensuring all documentation complies with FCA, internal, and London Market requirements
- Processing premiums, APs and RPs in line with agreed terms and market procedures
- Liaising with Clients, Insurers, and internal Finance teams to resolve premium and accounting queries
- Assisting with the production and processing of bordereaux where required
- Maintaining accurate records of placements, premiums, and bordereaux
- Supporting compliance requirements and internal standards
- Assisting with reporting and data analysis to support management information and business updates
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ technical experience within the Energy Market
- Strong understanding of London Market processes and documentation
- Experience using broking systems (e.g. Whitespace or similar platforms)
- Good working knowledge of MRC slips and market procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, proactive, and professional approach
