The Opportunity
I am working with a leading brokerage to appoint a Senior Financial Institutions / Directors & Officers (D&O) Broker. This is a senior, production-led role with a primary focus on the US market, alongside the ability to access and leverage international insurance markets where appropriate. The role will suit an experienced broker with a strong US client base and underwriting relationships, who is also comfortable structuring and placing complex, multi-layered programs using both US and overseas markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Origination & Portfolio Growth
- Originate and grow a portfolio of US-based FI and D&O clients
- Drive new business production, retention, and expansion of existing relationships
- Placement & Market Engagement
- Lead the placement of complex D&O, Financial Institutions, and management liability programs
- Execute placements primarily in the US market, with the ability to engage international markets where required
- Maintain strong relationships with key US underwriters and decision-makers
- International & Cross-Border Capability
- Support US-led clients with international exposures or global program requirements
- Coordinate with overseas brokers and market partners on multi-jurisdictional placements
- Leverage existing non-US relationships to enhance placement flexibility and client outcomes
- Technical & Strategic Contribution
- Advise clients on regulatory, litigation, and claims trends impacting FI and D&O risks
- Support complex claims advocacy and coverage discussions as needed
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the FI/D&O practice
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide informal mentoring and support to junior brokers and placement teams
- Work collaboratively across internal teams and international offices
