A London market insurance services company is seeking an experienced Billing person to strengthen its London-based billing team. Reporting to the Billing Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring insurance consultants submit their time sheets, drafting, agreeing and issuing invoices to customers and reducing WIP DSO and WIP Bad Debt across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage WIP and billing activities for a portfolio of consultants.
- Reduce aged WIP within your area.
- Bill companies in various countries in multiple currencies.
- Work with the credit control team and insurers to resolve invoice queries.
- Upload invoices onto various portals, including Legal X.
- Keep systems/master data updated with comments as invoices are issued to clients.
- Complete reports for various areas of the business.
Qualifications
- Significant demonstrable experience in billing within a professional services environment (e.g., insurance or legal).
- Excellent query resolution skills and the ability to use all systems available to resolve queries.
- Client-focused, good at establishing and building relationships.
- Comfortable raising billing issues with senior staff.
- Able to communicate in a clear, professional, concise, and structured manner internally and with clients.
