We are currently partnering with a growing and well-regarded London Market MGA seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their Property Reinsurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 2-3 years' insurance market experience looking to further develop their underwriting career within a collaborative and technically strong reinsurance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced underwriters, supporting an international portfolio with a particular focus on LATAM business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Underwriters across new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
- Assisting with risk analysis, underwriting documentation, and policy preparation
- Managing underwriting administration and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Liaising with brokers and internal stakeholders on underwriting queries
- Preparing and maintaining underwriting files, submissions, and reports
- Monitoring renewal timelines and ensuring service standards are maintained
- Supporting portfolio management and underwriting processes across the Property Reinsurance account
- Assisting with market research and general underwriting support duties
Candidate Requirements
- 2-3 years' insurance market experience
- London Market and/or reinsurance exposure preferred
- Property insurance or property reinsurance exposure advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
