A global Reinsurance business is seeking a qualified accountant to join its FP&A and Regulatory Reporting team in London. This Accountant role focuses primarily on regulatory reporting for European entities within the group. This role has responsibility for supporting financial accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting within regulatory reporting. You will have close interaction across multiple areas of the business and work with the wider Global Finance Team to add value across relevant teams.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory reporting for European entities within the group, with preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external purposes following required GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Specific focus on regulatory submissions including Lloyd\’s UK GAAP and Solvency UK submissions, US Situs, TRIA, NAIC, CBI QRTs and annual statutory financial statements.
- FP&A responsibilities including analysis of local results for management and board reporting, the annual budgeting process at a regional level, project work as assigned, and general support to the Finance Department and other teams as needed.
- Support financial accounting, internal controls, and working knowledge of general ledger systems and policy administration/accounting systems.
- Collaborate with multiple areas of the business and the wider Global Finance Team to add value across relevant functions.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountants with experience in the (re)insurance industry, including regulatory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US/UK GAAP.
- Working knowledge of general ledger systems and policy administration/accounting systems.
