What You'll Do
- Own the month-end close process and deliver accurate management accounts across all entities.
- Manage premium accounting activities, including bordereaux, brokerage, profit commission, and response provider fees.
- Oversee payroll, VAT compliance, accounts payable/receivable, credit control, and debtor management.
- Handle cash flow, multi-currency treasury activities, banking, payments, and FX operations.
- Lead the statutory year-end process and ensure reconciliation of underwriting platform data.
- Support the CFO on data analytics, automation initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting needed for FCA approval.
- Play a critical role in building scalable and innovative financial infrastructure to support Samphire's growth trajectory.
- Required Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or a highly capable finalist with strong London Market MGA experience.
- Proven expertise in insurance finance, particularly within the London Market, MGA, broker, or carrier environments.
- Strong understanding of bordereaux, premium accounting, and premium finance systems.
- Self-motivated, proactive, with excellent problem-solving abilities and systems mindset.
- Ability to work independently, managing end-to-end finance processes while collaborating with senior leadership.
- Skilled in automation and AI tools to optimise processes and reduce manual workload.
- Comfortable engaging directly with underwriting teams, executive leadership, and investors.
