About the role

Our Christchurch team is growing! We’re on the lookout for a new intermediate or Senior CivilEngineer with 12D or Civil 3ddesign experienceto join our Land Development team. In this role, you\'ll work on the delivery of some of HG’s biggest projects. We have a strong pipeline of complex projects including greenfield and brownfield residential developments, infrastructure, commercial plus industrial developments that shape the future of our local communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical expertise and design solutions to deliver a range of complex and interesting civil engineering projects from initial concept design through to construction completion.
  • Deliver innovative design solutionsand ensure that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain existing client relationships and contribute towards business development initiatives such as identifying opportunities and writing proposals to enhance HG’s future project prospects.
  • Play a key role in shaping better urban development for a diverse range of public and private clients across Aotearoa.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years consulting experience with a background in delivering land development projects.
  • Proficiency in 12D or Civil 3Ddesign software.
  • Strong understanding of local standards, codes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills plus the ability to establish collaborative relationships at multiple levels.
  • Personal leadership, motivation, and self-management skills.
