Harrison Family Vets are a family owned, independent group of busy, growing clinics providing pet health care that is second to none. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon with a genuine passion for both pets and people to join our brand-new, purpose-built practice in Callerton, Newcastle (opening soon!).
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy and growing clinic, delivering the high standard of compassionate care that pets would choose, within a rapidly expanding group of independent, family-owned practices.
- Days have a mix of consulting and theatre slots, with daily administration time factored in.
- Our consults are 15 minutes long.
- 1:2 Saturday morning 08.30-1pm (decreases as clinic and vet team grows)
- No OOH
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (Good Friday worked but day in lieu given)
- Private Medical Insurance including Employee Assistance Programme access
- £1000 standard CPD allowance with scope to study toward certificates
- Fear Free training and accreditation as standard
- Day off for birthday
- Three days off to work for a local charity of your choice

- RCVS and VDS fees paid

Salary £45,000 to £65,000 dependent on experience.

Our ward areas have classical music playing and softer lighting than that of clinical areas plus stress‑relieving pheromone plug ins are used throughout our wards and wider clinic.

Our fantastic Total Wellness Plan not only reduces cost for routine preventative products and services, but more importantly eliminates veterinary consult fees completely and introduces a yearly comprehensive physical examination, including blood and urine screening to pick up any subtle indicators of early disease. The plan exists to remove barriers to care, and help pets live longer, healthier lives.
