Join Harrison Drury Solicitors as a Family Solicitor with 2+ years of post‑qualifying experience. Harrison‑Drury is a market‑leading firm of solicitors with offices in Lancashire, Cumbria, and Staffordshire.

The Family Team is looking to recruit an experienced Family Solicitor (2+ PQE ideally) to join any of our Preston, Garstang, Clitheroe, Lytham, or Lancaster offices. You will manage a varied caseload of privately funded divorce, financial remedy, and children matters, using a Case Management System. The role also involves business development activities such as networking events, building local relationships, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective management of Family files, both hard copy and within SOS.
  • Progress client work efficiently, ensuring clients are kept informed on outcomes, progress, and costs.
  • Attend court, mediations, and meetings, preparing detailed notes and minutes as required.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of documentation in line with Law Society and GDPR requirements.
  • Achieve agreed billing and time‑recording targets.
  • Manage the billing process and liaise with Finance.
  • Draft legal documents including correspondence and court documentation.
  • Support colleagues within the team when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational development.
  • Work towards team objectives and promote the firm’s values.
  • Actively participate in marketing and business development activities.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience acting for privately funded and HNW clients.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, using initiative.
  • Confidence in business development and building client relationships.
Desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Experience using the SOS case‑management system.
