A fast-growing, market-leading Out-of-Home (OOH) media business in the motoring sector (backed by private equity) is looking for a technically strong Revenue Accountant to take ownership of the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle. This is a brilliant opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional who enjoys working in a commercial, fast-paced environment and wants to grow into broader senior finance responsibilities over time.
As Revenue Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring revenue is accurately recognised, billed, and reported. You’ll work closely with Sales and operational teams, helping improve processes as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure revenue recognition is compliant with FRS 102
- Maintain deferred income and accrued revenue schedules
- Validate sales orders and campaign delivery data
- Ensure compliance across multiple trade deals and partner agreements
- Ensure sales commission is calculated and applied correctly
- Oversee timely invoicing and ensure alignment between key systems and source data
- Manage the debtor ledger and support performance against DSO targets
- Own reporting for all revenue and revenue-related GL codes across P&L and Balance Sheet
- Lead revenue reporting for monthly management and board-level packs
- Deliver revenue insights and analysis to support senior finance decision-making
- Identify and implement improvements across revenue and billing processes
- Support more efficient reporting workflows as the business grows
- Partner closely with Sales, Campaign Delivery, and Operations teams
- Escalate complex queries to the Senior Group Financial Controller when required
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- 5+ years PQE/QBE in a relevant finance role
- Experience in advertising/media or a similarly fast-paced, deal-led environment is a plus
- Strong Excel/systems capability (Salesforce / Accounting Seed / Datarails beneficial, not essential)
- Highly detail-oriented, organised, and proactive
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and partnering with commercial teams
