We are looking for a Trust and Tax Manager who will be working in our Trust and Tax team in Cheltenham, within our large private client team. We are a recognised private client legal firm with a broad and varied workload serving high net worth clients, owner managed businesses, and large clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day administration of trusts, liaising with professional advisors, trustees and beneficiaries as necessary.
  • Prepare annual trust accounts, tax returns and R185s where appropriate, as well as inheritance tax returns.
  • Prepare estate accounts and handle estate income tax reporting.
  • Deal with Trust Registration Service (TRS) registration and CGT returns on residential property sales.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of trust and tax services.
  • Exposure to the administration of trusts and estates holding properties, family company shares and quoted investments would be beneficial.

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience working in a solicitors' firm, accountants' firm, trust company, or relevant tax/trust experience gained elsewhere.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, and professional advisors.
