Conveyancing Executive responsible for managing files and undertaking routine legal tasks with supervision, including file management, drafting, and client updates. The role requires proactive collaboration with colleagues and clients, strong drafting skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage files and undertake routine legal tasks with minimal supervision.
- Oversee processes for routine file management including file opening and billing.
- Undertake legal work, including raising initial enquiries, chasing responses, and raising further enquiries as necessary.
- Draft (and negotiate where appropriate) documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
- Supervise junior team members and provide day-to-day support to the wider team.
- Provide regular updates to clients and agents and manage expectations.
- Undertake legal research using appropriate methods, sourcing, and present results accurately and timely.
- Prepare contract reports, exchange of contracts, and completion.
- Support the team with marketing events and participate in business development activities.
- Prepare completion statements and ensure work complies with risk management policies and GDPR.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage professionally with clients.
- Work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent technical ability and drafting skills and strong commercial acumen.
- Be proactive, ambitious, and organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in conveyancing and/or commercial property.
- Exposure to real estate finance is highly desirable; some experience in the above areas is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and professionally engage with clients.
- Strong drafting skills and a solid understanding of relevant precedents and templates.
