We have the opportunity for you to shape and grow our Commercial Property team in Shrewsbury. You will have the backing of a Top 50 firm and a well-established national Real Estate team. Our newest HCR office in Shrewsbury is continuing to grow, strengthening our presence across England and Wales and bringing our network to 13 offices nationwide. The office opening was driven by strong client demand in the region and is an opportunity to make a visible impact on the local market.

This is an opportunity for you to play a key role in building a Commercial Property practice in the office, with the support of the national team. We have an established and well-connected national Commercial Property group with over 80 fee earners with a range of specialisms spanning from broad commercial property work to commercial development, real estate finance and construction. We are looking for ambitious individuals to be a part of the office at an early stage. This role isn’t about starting from scratch, it’s about utilising your expertise and connections whilst using our strong existing relationships, excellent work, and a collaborative team, and building it into something even bigger within the Shropshire area.

The opportunity

This role would suit either an experienced Commercial Property Partner, Legal Director or Senior Associate looking to step into a fast-growing and ambitious firm that will support your continued progression. We are keen to hear from those with general commercial property experience, or who have specialisms within the field. You will have some knowledge of the Shropshire and wider Borders market, looking to move to a platform that can elevate your exposure whilst nurturing your existing connections.

About You

As a Commercial Property Lawyer in Shrewsbury, you will:

  • Lead and grow our Commercial Property offering in Shrewsbury as part of a full‑service office build.
  • Work closely with existing teams within the office to further strengthen our Commercial Property offering.
  • Develop strong referral relationships locally (and across the Borders), working closely with colleagues in Shrewsbury and across the firm.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, cross‑office culture, the team emphasises collaboration and opportunities to work across offices.
