Our Real Estate Finance team is currently our most rapidly growing team, which makes this opportunity ideal for an ambitious and committed individual who loves the cut and thrust of being surrounded by a busy and commercially astute team. The team covers every aspect of a real estate deal, advising lenders and borrowers on loans related to property sales and acquisitions, and they help to finance property development and refinance existing debt. The team works across multiple sectors and with all kinds of lenders, including mainstream banks, bridging loan companies, challenger banks, peer-to-peer lenders, and individual borrowers.

The Conveyancing Executive role would include:

  • Managing files and undertaking routine legal tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Undertaking and overseeing processes for routine file management including file opening and billing.
  • Undertaking legal work, including raising initial enquiries, chasing responses, reviewing and raising further enquiries as necessary.
  • Drafting (and negotiating where appropriate) documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
  • Supervision of junior team members.
  • Being proactive and ensuring clients and agents have regular updates and expectations managed.
  • Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Preparing contract reports, exchange of contracts and completion.
  • Supporting the team with marketing events and actively participating in business development activity.
  • Preparing completion statements.
  • Ensuring all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR.

This role would be based in our Cheltenham office.

As Conveyancing Executive you will need to have:

  • Experience within conveyancing and/or commercial property.
  • Exposure to real estate finance work would be highly desirable, this could be while working in a broader real estate role.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and professionally engage with clients.
  • The ability to supervise junior team members, facilitating their development and providing day-to-day support to the wider team.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent technical ability and drafting skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail.
  • Resilience and the ability to complete tasks against tight deadlines.
