An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated Audit Manager to join our team in our Coventry office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Client
- Be the main contact for clients
- Introduce new clients to the firm
- Take the lead in working out solutions for clients
- Ensure exceptional client care standards are maintained
- Take part in potential client meetings alongside Directors
- Be involved with client proposals/draft proposal documents and budgets
- Win new work as a result of business development activities
Team
- Accomplish department objectives by managing staff and planning and evaluating department activities
- Take part and contribute to quarterly 1 to 1βs for junior members during their half year cycle in audit team
- Take responsibility for audit assignment staff planning and the schedule of audit work
- Develop relationships with fellow team members (own team and across the practice, including IFAs)
- Communicate effectively with individuals across the team in relation to progression and development
- Monitor the development of the team and highlight areas for improvement
- Lead the development and progression of junior members
- Implement individual team groups
- Be the appraising manager for trainees and senior, non-manager staff
- Collaborate with other department managers, ensuring cross-selling opportunities and effective data sharing
- Identify weaknesses/gaps in the team and interview new candidates
- Communicate with and support Directors with departmental and wider firm recruitment plans
Technical
- Ensure audit processes and regulations are adhered to for all assignments
- Lead and present regular updates and topical matters
- Develop personal growth opportunities for both technical skills and βsofterβ skills
- Attend occasional out of hours networking events to promote personal/firm branding
- Have awareness of the local marketplace and key players within the industry
- Have confidence to bring new ideas to implementation
- Prepare a quarterly report updating the team on best practice and technical developments
- Qualified ACA/ACCA
- At least 5 years PQE
- Experience in the following:
- FRS102
- OMBs
- Groups
- FCA clients with CASS reporting
- IFRS
- Charities
