At Harris Health Alliance, part of the Harris Computer Group, we build mission-critical software that supports healthcare organisations worldwide. We're looking for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial strategy, drive revenue growth across the NHS and international healthcare markets, and build a high-performing sales and marketing organisation.
As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll shape the commercial future of a growing healthcare technology business. You'll take accountability for P&L performance, influence commercial strategy, build and lead high-performing teams, strengthen senior customer relationships, and contribute to M&A initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership, you'll play a key role in driving sustainable growth while helping healthcare providers improve patient outcomes through innovative software solutions.
This is a fully remote UK-based role with the flexibility to work from our offices in Chippenham, Swindon, Chester, or Plymouth. The salary for this position is £80,000–£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role involves up to 50% travel, including regular engagement with NHS and healthcare stakeholders.
What you will do
- Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the NHS, UK and wider healthcare market, aligned with HHA's global business objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, competitive threats and growth opportunities to shape go-to-market strategies and strengthen HHA's market position.
- Drive revenue growth by delivering against quarterly and annual sales targets, including ARR, bookings and other key commercial metrics.
- Identify new customer segments and commercial opportunities, including those arising from acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
- Sales Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach and scale high-performing sales and marketing teams, including the Heads of Sales & Business Development and Marketing & Customer Success and their respective teams.
- Establish clear sales goals, quotas and performance metrics, monitoring progress and taking corrective action where required.
- Align sales and marketing activities to maximise pipeline generation, conversion and sustainable revenue growth.
- Implement effective sales enablement programmes, tools and training to support commercial excellence across the organisation.
- Customer Engagement & Market Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key NHS, healthcare and strategic partner stakeholders to expand HHA's market presence and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Leverage industry knowledge, professional networks and existing healthcare relationships to identify new business opportunities and support long-term growth.
- Represent HHA at customer meetings, industry events and executive-level engagements, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
- Sales Operations & Commercial Excellence
- Oversee sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and pipeline management to optimise commercial performance.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reporting to support strategic business planning and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Monitor sales performance data and market intelligence to drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing sales and marketing organisation, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Set clear individual and team objectives, providing regular coaching, feedback and development opportunities to maximise performance.
- Allocate resources effectively, ensuring the right people are in the right roles and supporting succession planning for key leadership positions.
- Recognise and develop high-performing talent while addressing performance challenges in a timely and constructive manner.
What we are looking for
- Extensive leadership experience within software or healthcare technology sales.
- Proven success selling into the NHS, healthcare providers or the wider public sector.
- Experience building, leading and scaling high-performing commercial teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software sales, CRM systems and pipeline management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans, including experience supporting organic and inorganic (M&A) growth.
- Experience working within high-growth or acquisitive organisations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled healthcare technology and its application to sales, marketing or clinical workflows is highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
