Temporary Full-Time Sales Assistant Job Description / 40 hours per week / 9am to 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greeting customers / providing advice / answering the phone / measuring and cutting the tweed
- Sales & Transactions: Operating tills, processing cash/card payments, and handling returns or exchanges.
- Stock Management: Unpacking deliveries, restocking shelves, rotating inventory, and performing stock takes.
- Merchandising: Ensuring shelves are tidy, creating displays, and updating prices.
- Store Maintenance: Cleaning/dusting/mopping/vacuuming and organising the shop floor and storage areas.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Strong verbal skills to engage with customers and team members.
- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, polite, and approachable attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and lift stock
- Numerical Skills: Comfortable with cash handling and POS technology.
