MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Consider the curriculum and promote pupil development in any class or group.
- Plan and prepare courses and lessons.
- Teach according to the educational needs of pupils.
- Set and mark work undertaken by pupils.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress and attainment.
- Disseminate high quality teaching pedagogy and practice for outstanding learning outcomes.
- Commit to ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy.
- Maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.
- Be innovative, highly motivated and eager.
- Display good interpersonal skills and work well as part of a team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree.
- Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum.
- Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning, particularly for high progress rates of primary students.
- Strong knowledge of core National Curriculum subjects.
- Knowledge of child development and progression planning.
- Effective classroom behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
- Understanding of equal opportunity issues and how to address them.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
