Job Purpose:
The Regional Aftersales Manager with Technical Competence is responsible for leading aftersales performance in a designated region by working closely with the Authorised Repairer network to deliver exceptional customer experience and drive commercial results. In addition to managing dealer performance, the role includes providing hands-on technical support and training coordination, ensuring technical standards are upheld across the network. This role acts as a key liaison between the dealers and Maxus UK across both commercial and technical domains.
Responsibilities:
Dealer Performance & Aftersales Management (Primary Focus)
β Act as the key aftersales interface between Maxus UK and the dealer network, building strong, productive relationships
β Monitor and address customer feedback to improve service quality and satisfaction
β Develop and implement performance improvement plans with dealership senior management
β Ensure full compliance with Aftersales Franchise Standards
β Analyze dealer performance data and present recommendations to senior management
β Drive aftersales revenue through parts, service, and accessories growth
β Collaborate with internal departments (Customer Uptime, Warranty, Sales, Marketing) to ensure cohesive aftersales delivery
β Support and influence training needs to optimize dealer capability and customer service
Technical Support & Field Expertise (Secondary Focus)
β Provide expert technical support to dealers and internal teams, assisting in diagnosing and resolving complex issues
β Conduct field visits and vehicle inspections based on escalated cases from the Technical Desk (Zendesk)
β Coordinate with the Technical Training department to identify and deliver targeted training
β Guide dealers on warranty claims involving significant diagnostic work
β Stay current with emerging automotive technologies, especially EV, and act as a brand technical ambassador
Experience and Candidate Characteristics
β Proven experience in aftersales management within OEM and/or dealer environments
β Master Technician qualification with Level 4 EV certification (or strong willingness to achieve)
β Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the link between customer satisfaction and aftersales profitability
β Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
β Highly analytical with exceptional problem-solving abilities in both operational and technical contexts
β Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel within the assigned region
β Valid UK driverβs license and clean driving record
