Job title - Dealer Development Managers – All regions Reports to UK Sales Director About us Harris Group is a long-established distributor of commercial vehicles, spare parts and aftersales services within Ireland and the UK. We distribute globally recognised vehicle brands and are a leader in the growing and ever evolving EV space including Light Commercial Vehicles, buses and coaches. Harris Group is the distributor for the MAXUS range in the UK and Ireland. With 70 dealer outlets and growing, our experienced team is responsible for delivering premium care to MAXUS fleet, SME and personal customers. Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for Dealer Development Managers (all regions) to join our MAXUS UK sales team. Job purpose Reporting to the UK Sales Director, the DDMs are responsible for the development, growth and sales achievement across a defined number of MAXUS retail outlets while working to related targets set and defined for each retailer. The key focus is on improving dealer performance, profitability, and overall business growth. The Role Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 1. Dealer Network Management: Oversee and manage the network of dealerships within the specified region. Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, acting as the primary point of contact for addressing their needs, concerns, and enquiries. 2. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse dealer performance metrics, including sales figures, market share, customer satisfaction ratings, and profitability. Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance dealer performance and achieve targets. 3. Business Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with dealers to develop business plans and strategies that align with the Company objectives and market trends. Provide guidance and support in areas such as sales forecasting, inventory management, marketing initiatives, and customer retention programs. 4. Training and Development: Assess the training needs of dealers and their staff members. Coordinate and facilitate training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance dealership performance, product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills. 5. Market Analysis and Research: Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, new market segments, and emerging customer demands. 6. Dealer Compliance: Ensure that dealerships comply with the manufacturer\'s standards, policies, and guidelines. Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess compliance with branding, customer service, facility standards, and operational requirements. 7. New Dealer Recruitment and Selection: Identify potential dealership opportunities in underrepresented or strategically important areas. Evaluate and select new dealer candidates based on their capabilities, financial stability, market potential, and alignment with the manufacturer\'s values and objectives. 8. Relationship Building and Communication: Foster strong relationships with dealers by providing ongoing support, guidance, and open communication channels. Regularly communicate updates, promotions, incentive programs, and policy changes to the dealer network. 9. Negotiations and Contracts: Collaborate with legal and finance teams to negotiate dealership agreements, contracts, and incentive programs. Ensure that contracts are fair, mutually beneficial, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. 10. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and analyse data related to dealer performance, market trends, and key performance indicators. Present findings and recommendations to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and strategic initiatives. The Person As the ideal candidate you will: · Be focused on achieving goals and sales targets. · Be recognised as being self-motivated and driven. · Have a full clean driving license. · Have the ability to work and plan diary within area of responsibility. · Have demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
