We are working with a specialist school in the Marylebone area looking to appoint an Occupational Therapist on a permanent basis. This is a school-based OT position within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with additional needs through a mixture of direct intervention, integrated classroom support, and close multidisciplinary working. The role will involve working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help pupils access learning, develop independence and regulate effectively within the school environment.

The school is ideally looking for someone at Band 6/7 level, though they may consider a Band 5 who is close to Band 6 level or brings strong school-based experience.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver occupational therapy assessment and intervention for pupils with additional needs
  • Support pupils through direct intervention, classroom-based strategies and functional support
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, therapists and families
  • Contribute to reports, reviews and wider multidisciplinary planning
  • Help pupils access learning, improve regulation and build independence within the school setting
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration is essential
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
  • SEN, neurodiversity or specialist school experience would be highly beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
