We're recruiting for a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join a highly supportive multidisciplinary team in a specialist education setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who have complex physical, learning and communication needs while helping shape and develop therapy services across the school.

The Role

  • You'll manage your own specialist caseload, providing assessments, interventions and ongoing support for students with a range of communication needs.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families, you'll play a key role in helping every learner reach their full potential.
  • Assessing, planning and delivering specialist speech and language therapy.
  • Supporting students with complex communication needs, including AAC.
  • Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Supporting students with eating, drinking and swallowing needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Delivering training and advice to school staff and other professionals.
  • Helping develop therapy services, clinical pathways and best practice across the setting.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and working in line with HCPC and RCSLT standards.

About You

  • We're ideally looking for someone who has a degree (or equivalent) in Speech & Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • RCSLT membership.
  • At least 2–3 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent communication and caseload management skills.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience within education or with complex needs is advantageous but not essential.
