About the role: An independent Orthodox Jewish boys' secondary school in Edgware is looking for a Science Teacher to join its department on a permanent, full-time basis. You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 to small, mixed-ability classes, and if you can take Biology or Chemistry through to A-Level that would be a genuine advantage. The school runs a split-day timetable, with Jewish studies in the mornings and secular subjects from late morning into the afternoon, so the teaching day is later than most schools and holidays are generous. Classes are small, pupils are respectful, and leadership is supportive and hands-on. There is an on-site SEN provision, so an adaptable, inclusive approach to teaching is valued.

You will need:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and UK secondary teaching experience
  • Confidence teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Biology or Chemistry to KS5 (desirable, not essential)
  • Genuine respect for and sensitivity to the school's Orthodox Jewish ethos
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply. Please send your CV to Harris Lee and one of the team will be in touch.
