Finance Officer Interim Assignment (Immediate Start)
Location: Hybrid (min. 2 days onsite near Heathrow)
Contract: 3-4 days per week
Duration: Minimum 4 weeks (likely extension)
Rate: £17.58 - £19.23 per hr
I am excited to be working with an amazing charity in search of an experienced Finance Officer to step in quickly and bring order to a busy finance function. This is not a sit back and observe role. There’s a backlog to tackle, deadlines to hit, and a team that needs someone who can get moving from day one.
What you’ll be doing:
- Clearing a backlog of financial processing accurately and efficiently
- Managing day-to-day finance operations end-to-end
- Processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and resolving queries
- Preparing and running payment cycles (BACS)
- Supporting payroll and statutory submissions
- Handling expenses, VAT support, and general finance admin
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a hands-on finance role
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Someone comfortable working at pace in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail with a get it done mindset
- Experience with Sage 200 and MS365

- Initial focus will be where the pressure is highest
- Must be confident managing workload and meeting tight deadlines
