The Regional Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical support and expertise to fleet customers, dealers, and the sales team within a specific region.
This position requires a strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of automotive systems and components.
The Regional Technical Manager will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, conducting training sessions in conjunction with the Technical Training team, coordinating product launches, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert level technical support to customers, dealers, and the sales team.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the product.
Liaise with the Technical Training department to conduct training sessions.
Conduct field visits, inspections and coaching support based on request from the Technical desk following a Zendesk case.
Give guidance to the dealers on claiming warranty where time has been invested in complex diagnostics.
Stay up-to-date and fully trained in emerging technologies and industry trends.
Be the Brand expert.
Investigate product issues if requested by the Head of Service Quality, including inspection of vehicles at customer premises.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and dealer personnel.
Communicate to Service Managers the visit plan, and the outcome to enable onward communication with the customer.
Prepare and submit reports after every dealer visit on technical diagnosis, including recommended actions for the dealer.
Share with the Service Manager and Dealer Performance Managers – Aftersales.
Establish strong working relationships with Service Managers and the Dealer Performance Managers - Aftersales.
Master technician qualification with Level 4 EV qualification.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex situations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working with dealers, customers, and internal teams.
Ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.
Ability to work independently and travel within the region, including having a validdriver's license and a clean driving record.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
