Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Roofing Estimator to join our client on a permanent basis.

This role will support projects across Newcastle and Merseyside so candidates must have a full driver's licence.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in roofing estimation who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations for a range of roofing projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, surveys and tender documentation to assess project requirements.
  • Carry out site visits where required to evaluate project scope and gather relevant information.
  • Measure quantities and calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Produce detailed pricing submissions and tender returns within required timescales.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities within tenders.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Support the handover of successful projects to the operational delivery team.
  • Key Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Roofing Estimator is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems, methods and industry practices.
  • Experience preparing estimates and tenders for roofing projects of varying sizes.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential, with the ability to travel across Newcastle, Merseyside and surrounding areas.
