Roofing Estimator, Estimator, Roofs, Commercial, Industrial Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Roofing Estimator to join our client on a permanent basis. This role will support projects across Newcastle and Merseyside so canddiates must have a full drivers licence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in roofing estimation who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a variety of roofing projects, working closely with clients, suppliers and the wider operational team to ensure estimates are commercially viable and support successful project delivery. Responsibilities * Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations for a range of roofing projects. * Review drawings, specifications, surveys and tender documentation to assess project requirements. * Carry out site visits where required to evaluate project scope and gather relevant information. * Measure quantities and calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs. * Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. * Produce detailed pricing submissions and tender returns within required timescales. * Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the estimating process. * Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities within tenders. * Maintain accurate estimating records and ensure documentation is up to date. * Support the handover of successful projects to the operational delivery team. Key Skills & Experience * Previous experience as a Roofing Estimator is essential. * Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems, methods and industry practices. * Experience preparing estimates and tenders for roofing projects of varying sizes. * Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation. * Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines. * Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder and client relationship skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. * Full UK driving licence is essential, with the ability to travel across Newcastle, Merseyside and surrounding areas
