We are seeking an experienced Contracts / Construction Manager to play a key role in the development and growth of a new Industrial Refit division within the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking professional who wants to help shape processes, drive standards and oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing the new Industrial Refit division, with a focus on compliance, supply chain and commercial aspects
- Oversee the delivery of several projects, reporting directly to the Directors
- Take off materials well in advance of site requirements and liaise with the buying department for procurement
- Liaise with client teams and chair site meetings as required
- Develop and manage detailed project programmes
- Monitor and drive programmes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure on time completion
- Monitor quality of workmanship and manage snagging to achieve handover
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with Employer’s Requirements and meet or exceed client expectations
- Manage Contract Instructions, Technical Submittals and RFIs
- Utilise construction management software packages effectively
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, planning ahead to minimise risk
About You
- Must have proven experience in a Contracts Manager / Construction Manager role in the Industrial Refit Industry
- Forward thinking with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Able to work under own initiative as well as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
