The Subcontract Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing subcontractor relationships, leading negotiations of commercial terms and conditions, and ensuring effective execution of third‑party deliveries. This role bridges Procurement, Legal, Operations, and Project Management to mitigate risk, optimise cost, and ensure on‑time, compliant delivery of goods and services. Responsible for the procurement of subcontracts including the management of cost, schedule and performance parameters. Implement sourcing strategies, assess supplier risk (including financial) and develop mitigation plans.

What the role will involve:
- Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialised materials, equipment, and/or services.
- Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders’ conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
- Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management and supply chain.
- Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Travel expected UK 10% with occasional overseas travel.
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and drafting of commercial terms and conditions.
- Strong understanding of third‑party logistics and delivery management.
- Experience in industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, aerospace, or large‑scale project environments is preferred.
- CIPS Level 5 (desirable)
