What the role will involve:
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Design, develop and manage ILS including planning, coordination of resources and the support solution for products and ILS requirements in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Development, management of ILS and a hands-on approach in drafting specified Contract Data Requirements List, such as the ILS Element Plans.
- Lead the planning and delivery of the Supportability Analysis Programme.
- Determine the support requirements within a project and define the tasks and associated resources required to ensure the most appropriate support strategy and solution.
- Responsibility for the definition and estimation of ILS proposals that are compliant to Customer ITT Statement of Requirements.
- Influence the product design to enhance in-service reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability.
- Manage the performance of project ILS staff including any sub-contractors to ensure output meets internal and customer requirements and ensure that programmes are delivered within budget and timescales.
- Develop and/or provide technical peer reviews of ILS management, planning and reporting documentation.
- Develop and manage ILS Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedules whilst estimating ILS levels of effort, man hours etc. for costing purposes.
- Responsibility for the implementation and delivery of contractual ILS requirements through all phases of the project life cycle, including capturing and managing ILS Risks and Opportunities.
- Responsibility for direct customer interfacing activity, including representation at Logistic Support Committees, ILS Working Groups and project performance meetings with the Customer, Design and ILS Reviews.
What you’ll bring:
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Degree or HNC/HND in an engineering/science subject or has a proven record of accomplishment in a similar role.
- Experience in the application of ILS to large scale complex programmes for UK MOD and/or industry. Working knowledge of Defence Standards including but not limited to: Def Stan 00-600, Def Stan 00-60 and Def Stan 00-40 Series and awareness of US Military Standards: Mil Std 1388-2B, Mil Std 1629A, Mil Hdbk 472, Mil Std 785, Mil Std 756 and Mil Std 470.
- Strong understanding of predictive logistics and support planning methodologies.
- Familiar with the application of Logistic Information Repositories (LIRs).
- Working knowledge of ILS Modelling Tools (including WLC Modelling).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience of defining and delivering Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for Service Delivery within a mixed Logistic Support community (Military/Civilian).
Additional Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of the PTC Windchill ARM tools.
- Familiarity with products similar to those manufactured by L3Harris in the following areas: Electronic Warfare, Robotics, Crypto, etc.
- Management of Training Delivery Teams.
