L3Harris is seeking an experienced Field Engineering, Senior Associate, RC-135 Avionics Systems to join our team at RAF Waddington, Lincoln, United Kingdom. In this role, you will provide advanced maintenance and sustainment support for highly complex avionics systems on the Royal Air Force’s RC-135 aircraft.

What the role will involve
- Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated digital and computer-based avionics systems, including:
- Radar, TCAS, IFF, GPS, navigation, flight instruments, and autopilot
- Digital/analog communications and datalinks
- Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, aircraft launch, and recovery
- Oversee maintenance activities and ensure accurate documentation completion
- Work with AC/DC circuits and Aircraft Electrical Power Supply systems
- Operate and repair digital and analog interphone networks
- Fuel, Hydraulic, and LOX system operation, indications, and signal flow
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Ability to obtain UK DV Clearance (or equivalent) within the first year
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, OR, Graduate Degree and minimum of 0 years of relevant experience, OR, 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Degree
- Qualified to sustain the RC/KC-135 avionics and subsystems within the last 5 years
- Work various shifts depending upon customer mission requirements
- Worldwide deployable with travel up to 40% of the time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 5% of the time and climb ladders daily
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with RC-135 mission system suite
- Knowledge of RF theory, radio systems, and datalink technology
- Ability to read and interpret technical data and engineering documents
