Job Location – Brighton. Our Brighton business is moving to a new location in 2027. The new site is expected to be located in either Shoreham, Burgess Hill or Horsham and will be within a 15-minute drive of our current site.

For over 70 years, L3Harris has designed and developed industry-leading carriage and release systems for fighter, rotary-wing and unmanned platforms and we design, manufacture and test a large portion of our release systems portfolio in our Brighton facility which offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space. What the role will involve: In-house training will be provided by our Calibration specialist, and all aspects of the calibration processes and equipment will be covered. Where required, external training courses will be provided by the business which are relevant to Calibration. The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Support and maintain all calibration functions within the Calibration department.
- Publish weekly recall list from the calibration database and actioning / processing recalls for that week.
- Locating Overdue items for processing in accordance with procedures.
- Gather in and calibration of equipment (mechanical & electrical).
- Obtain quotations and raise purchase orders for calibration of equipment sent to external suppliers and arrange visits for calibration of in-house equipment where required.
- Issuing of gauges to works orders when required by production within the required KPI (Key Performance Indicator) time frame.
- Raising Defect Equipment Notice (DEN) for equipment that does not meet the required specification.
- Supporting KPI’s associated with the Calibration department.
- Maintain the Gauge Tool Management (GTM) database.
- Entering new gauging/equipment on the GTM database and storing gauges in the Supply Point System (SPS).
What you’ll bring: The role requires the following experience and skills:
- PC literate – Word, Excel and database experience
- Work well in a team environment with good communication skills
- Have an organised and methodical approach
- Attention to detail with enthusiasm
