Summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Administrator to support SEND Administration and the Safeguarding and Medical Lead, on a fixed-term contract to August 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing Academy, where you will be highly supported by both the Academy team and the wider Harris Federation. As the Academy grows to full capacity there is a wide range of opportunities for future career progression. The actual salary for this role will be Β£31,077.35 -Β£ weeks per year, 37.5 hours per weei).
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Preparing and coordinating annual review paperwork, meetings and documentation
- Developing Learning Support Assistant timetables and coordinating targeted interventions
- Supporting the management of the Learning Support Assistant team, including cover arrangements and learning walks
- Coordinating speech and language provision and communicating with key stakeholders
- Liaising with external professionals, including Educational Psychologists and therapists, to arrange assessments and support
- Representing the SEND department at wellbeing and safeguarding meetings
- Completing SEND screening assessments and maintaining accurate student records
- Supporting Year 6 to Year 7 transition activities, including information gathering and family engagement
- Assisting with SEN consultations and preparing Individual Development Plans
- Supporting exam access arrangement processes and documentation
- Liaising with the SENDCo, safeguarding and medical teams to coordinate student support
- Administering and monitoring student medication in line with legal and organisational requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of medical needs, incidents and care plans
- Supporting safeguarding record-keeping and compliance processes
- Communicating with parents, carers and healthcare professionals to support student wellbeing
- Maintaining confidentiality and up-to-date professional knowledge and training requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSE mathematics and English at grade C or above and relevant level 3 qualification
- Trained in the use of a variety of ICT packages
- Knowledge of procedures for entering data on a central management information system
- Basic training on Management Information Systems
- At least a year's experience working in school or educational establishment
- Experience of working in an inner city school
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
