We are seeking a hardworking, ambitious and dynamic Executive Assistant to the Executive Principal, who will also act as the HR Lead, at Harris Academy Clapham. The role is term‑time only (39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week) and offers an annual salary of £45,092.19 – £46,895.95.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Manage the Executive Principal’s diary, identifying and arranging meetings, distributing briefing documents, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, proofread correspondence, handle complex enquiries and maintain files and contact lists.
- Plan and chair meetings, acting as Clerk to Governors.
- Provide HR support: manage resignations, absence leave, risk assessments, sickness records and oversee recruitment and attendance monitoring.
- Coordinate staff HR matters and support effective implementation of people processes across both sites.
- Organise high‑profile events and assist in the development of policies, processes and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Appropriate degree or equivalent level of education.
- Proficiency with ICT packages and document formatting, including spreadsheets.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a school or educational establishment.
- Experience managing staff in a personal assistant capacity.
- Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment or attendance monitoring.
- Track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
- Experience preparing and circulating minutes and ensuring timely information flow.
- Experience managing high‑profile events and developing policies, processes and procedures.
