Harris Computer is currently looking to hire an Assistant Accountant for the Harris International Group’s finance team, on a full-time, permanent, hybrid-working basis (circa 1 day per week in the office). Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will perform month, quarter and year-end closing tasks, in addition to various working capital and/or accounts payable responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role has progressive accounting experience; strong attention to detail, ability to embrace change, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Position & Responsibilities
- Building relationships and providing excellent customer service to the business unit(s)
- Performing various tasks relating to accounts receivables, accounts payables, or working capital, or all the above, depending on the business unit(s) the role is supporting
- Accounts receivables tasks include - preparing and issuing sales invoices, and performing order processing tasks to ensure appropriate revenue recognition
- Accounts payables tasks include - processing purchase invoices, and creating payment runs
- Working capital tasks include – performing credit control activities, and preparing and presenting working capital results to leadership teams
- Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts
- Assisting with special ad hoc projects that impact various stakeholders within the organization
