The predicted salary is between 22104 - 23200 £ per year.
We are looking for a HR Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the HR elements of Harris Academy Falconwood. The actual salary for this role will be £26,130 - £27,667 (39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week).
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Maintenance and input of staff personnel information on the Academy system in line with School Workforce Census.
- Maintenance of the Single Central Register (SCR) in line with OfSTED requirements.
- Keeping staff personnel records and files up to date.
- Ensuring that tracking and maintenance of the absence database is correct in line with legal obligations.
- Liaising with the Federation HR Team regarding Employment Law matters including grievances, dismissals, terminations and redundancies.
- Assisting the Academy Leadership Team, managers and staff on HR related policies and procedures.
- Collation of all lesson observation documentation, maintenance of spreadsheets and preparation of congratulation letters.
- Assisting in the administration of the appraisal process throughout the year.
- Assisting in HR related meetings.
- Assisting in the recruitment, onboarding and induction process from start to finish.
- Assisting the Academy’s Finance Team with the monthly payroll process by updating and maintaining records for new starters and leavers and unpaid absences.
- Advising on entitlements and pay.
- Ensuring that all staff HR files are in order and up to date.
- Coordination of the provision of references for staff who have left our employment.
- Producing written documents as required.
- Ensuring correct maintenance of the New Starter Report and Establishment List.
- Ensuring correct co-ordination of Vehicle Permits and new starter induction packs.
- Ensuring all documents, staff handbooks and folders, ID cards, keys, parking permits and equipment are returned from leavers.
Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- A good standard of general education, including literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience of responsibility whilst working in an HR administrative role.
- Computer literacy, including excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages.
- Experience of using databases.
- Experience of working within a busy office environment.
- Experience of assimilating data, record/log keeping and file maintenance (paper and computer).
- Experience of managing and prioritising a diverse workload, to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
