Pricing & Risk Developer – Front Office
Location: London – Hybrid
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits – up to 140k basic
We’re partnered with a global financial markets business seeking a mid-to-senior level Pricing & Risk Developer to join their Front Office technology team. This group is responsible for the development of cross-asset automated pricing and risk systems for FICC derivatives, working directly with global sales, trading, and quant teams.
This is a high-impact role building and optimising applications that incorporate complex pricing and risk models, enabling electronic trading across multiple asset classes.
The Role
- Develop and maintain high-performance pricing and risk services used globally by Front Office teams.
- Collaborate with sales, trading, and quant teams to implement model requirements.
- Work with eTrading and infrastructure teams on pricing/risk distribution.
- Build event-driven, multi-threaded messaging systems with low-latency performance.
- Integrate automated unit and regression testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to technical design and provide leadership on solution architecture.
- Core Java (JDK 11+, ideally Java 17+)
- Python 3+
- React / AngularJS
Key Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience delivering Front Office pricing/trading/risk solutions.
- Strong Core Java and Python enterprise development background.
- Multi-threaded programming expertise.
- Experience building high-performance, event-driven messaging systems.
- Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD integration.
Highly Desirable
- Strong Interest Rate Swap product knowledge (FRA, IRS, XCCY).
- Bloomberg API experience (BPIPE, SAPI, DAPI).
- Java performance testing.

- Strong technical leader with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Able to work across multiple initiatives and collaborate globally.
- Familiar with Agile and SDLC processes.
