A fast‑scaling fintech in the payments and open banking infrastructure space is establishing its first Irish entity as part of its European regulatory expansion. This is a rare ground‑floor leadership role with genuine autonomy and board‑level visibility.

The role:

  • Lead the establishment and build‑out of a new Irish regulated entity from inception.
  • Act as the senior executive accountable to the regulator, holding a designated controlled function.
  • Drive the e‑money licence application process alongside the executive team and regulatory specialists.
  • Build local operations from scratch – selling, hiring, governance, premises, and compliance infrastructure.
  • Represent the business with the Central Bank of Ireland, partners, and clients.

About you:

  • Based in Ireland, with senior leadership experience in payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Track record within regulated entities – EMI or PI licensing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience of entity setup, market entry, or building a business unit from the ground up.
  • Credible and confident in front of regulators, boards, and enterprise clients.
  • Commercially sharp with the operational breadth to wear multiple hats in the early phase.
