We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and mature a modern data engineering function. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement a centralized enterprise data warehouse that serves as a single source of truth across the business.
You’ll work within small, empowered teams, owning data solutions end to end and partnering closely with product, analytics, finance, and engineering stakeholders to deliver high-impact, data-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data workflows
- Develop and maintain resilient, high-performance data architectures
- Transform, model, and curate data to support analytics, reporting, and insights
- Improve data quality, reliability, monitoring, and system performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and support platform scalability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the data team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of advanced SQL experience (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- 4+ years of experience with Java or Groovy
- Experience integrating with REST/SOAP APIs
- Hands-on experience with dbt and data modeling
- Strong understanding of modern data platforms, distributed systems, and cloud concepts
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
- Agile delivery experience with strong communication and ownership mindset
- Experience with Snowflake or similar analytics platforms
- Enterprise data warehouse design experience
