Security Architect

Harrington Starr is seeking a Security Architect to join one of our key banking clients in a newly created role. The company is undergoing significant growth and transformation in their cyber security roadmap.

The role is based in London (city).

Some of the key activities will include:

• Developing and maintaining secure frameworks.
• Designing and implementing secure solutions to protect systems and data.
• Working with the wider enterprise architecture and engineering teams to embed security controls into projects.
• Providing guidance to the business on cyber security and risk management best practices.
• Conducting regular threat analyses and assessing infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
• Leading security projects to ensure effective implementation into the business.
• Staying abreast of all cyber industry trends and attacker techniques to help protect the business.

In order to be suitable, you will need:

• A strong technical cyber security background with at least five years as a Security Architect within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security resilience frameworks including ISO27001, NIST, and DORA.
• Strong understanding of defensive security, attack methodologies, network security, and cloud security.
• Proficiency in using SIEM tools, specifically Splunk, IDS/IPS, Next Gen firewalls, and security protocols including SSL, HTTPS, SSH, PGP, PKI, and/or Kerberos.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM) highly desirable.
