Project Manager – Exchange Technology
£400–£450 per day

We’re working with a specialist technology business that develops and operates software underpinning stock exchanges and regulated trading venues globally.
They are looking for a Senior Project Manager with direct exchange technology experience to take ownership of several critical software delivery streams.
This is a short initial contract and they need someone who already understands the exchange environment. General banking or broader financial services experience alone won’t be enough. You need to understand the technology, delivery pressures and dependencies involved in building and delivering software for an exchange.
The Role
- Own end-to-end SDLC planning and delivery across development, product and QA.
- Drive sprint planning, task-force reviews, release planning and delivery governance.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent exchange platform implementations and client releases.
- Manage dependencies and resources across development, QA, product, operations, DevOps, infrastructure and networks.
- Bring together complex delivery plans spanning both software and exchange infrastructure.
- Identify delivery risks and bottlenecks early, driving decisions and actions to keep programmes moving.
- Work closely with senior technology leadership to provide clear visibility on delivery, resources, risks and dependencies.
What We’re Looking For
- Direct experience delivering technology within a stock exchange, trading venue or exchange technology provider is essential.
- Strong understanding of exchange technology and the software environments underpinning electronic markets.
- Proven Senior Project Manager experience delivering complex, business-critical software.
- Strong SDLC experience, covering development, QA, sprint planning and production releases.
- Experience coordinating multiple technical workstreams and releases simultaneously.
- Ability to work credibly with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, networks and infrastructure teams.
- A highly structured, delivery-focused approach with the ability to get into the detail when required.
This isn't a general banking technology PM position. We are specifically interested in people who have worked within the exchange ecosystem and can therefore add value immediately.
