Job Description

Finance Product Controller – Structured Products

💷 £600–£700 per day | 12-Month Contract | Outside IR35

📍 Central London | Hybrid Working (2–3 days per week onsite)

Everyone matters here:

  • We promote an inclusive, supportive environment for all genders
  • We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued
  • We actively support gender diversity and inclusion at every level
  • We foster a culture of work-life balance and equal opportunity

You’ll be working for a global financial services group in their structured derivatives division, supporting daily P&L production, balance sheet reporting, and finance transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on product control with finance change delivery – perfect for a qualified accountant with structured product knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing accurate daily P&L and balance sheet reports for the Solutions business
  • Reviewing Greek exposures and collaborating with Risk and Valuations teams (CVA, DVA, FVA)
  • Owning P&L commentary, monthly desk economics, and cost centre analysis
  • Posting month-end adjustments and ensuring the balance sheet is fully substantiated
  • Working with ops, risk, and front office to resolve issues and optimise processes
  • Leading elements of the finance transformation agenda, improving controls and reporting
  • Supporting the integration of new trade flows from FO systems into the general ledger
  • Supporting compliance with FCA regulations and internal risk frameworks

What you’ll need:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in product control, ideally in a structured derivatives or structured equities setting
  • Strong understanding of P&L, Greek sensitivities, and structured note accounting
  • Confident communicator – able to work cross-functionally with front office, risk, and legal
  • Highly analytical with strong Excel skills
  • Experience with FO/BO systems like Sophis or ICE is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL or Alteryx would be an advantage (not essential)
  • Track record in process optimisation or transformation work is beneficial

This is a great role for someone who wants to be both hands-on with numbers and active in shaping better finance workflows across the business. If you're ready to step into a fast-paced, commercially engaged finance function — this one’s for you.
