Remote (UK, or Mainland Europe)
You’ll be joining a digital platform business that’s redefining how global commodity trading data is captured, structured, and monetised.
Your mission — build the foundations of a brand-new data business from the ground up.
This is a hands‑on, commercially led role for someone who understands commodity trading data, pricing, logistics, line‑ups, flows, and quality, and knows how to turn that information into a commercial product.
You’ll work closely with leadership, product, and technical teams to validate, package, and sell new data offerings to trading firms, brokers, and service providers across the agri and energy markets.
What you’ll be doing:
- Validating new data product opportunities — engaging clients and industry experts to identify commercial value.
- Conducting competitive analysis and benchmarking market data models.
- Defining pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for new data offerings.
- Building commercial partnerships with traders, agents, and data aggregators.
- Negotiating licensing and subscription agreements for new data products.
- Presenting insights and strategy at industry forums and internal leadership reviews.
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years in commodities data sales or business development, ideally with experience in agriculture, energy, or logistics data.
- A strong network within the trading ecosystem — data contributors, brokers, and counterparties.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A commercial mindset with strategic thinking and delivery capability.
You’ll be the bridge between data innovation and commercial value — shaping how the industry understands and leverages trade data.
If you’ve ever wanted to build a data business from scratch within a global trading ecosystem, this is that opportunity.
