This is an opportunity to join a growing boutique investment bank operating in the UK small and mid-cap market. The firm advises listed companies on corporate finance and capital markets transactions and is continuing to invest heavily in its internal technology capability. They are expanding their engineering function to build the next generation of internal systems, integrations and automation that support multiple business lines across the organisation. This role will play a key part in strengthening engineering capability while helping the business scale more efficiently through modern technology and AI-assisted development.

What you will do:

  • Design, build and maintain internal services, integrations and data flows supporting multiple business systems.
  • Develop automation and internal tooling that improves operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation and solution design.
  • Build integrations across enterprise platforms and internal systems.
  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for workflow optimisation.
  • Contribute to proof-of-concept development exploring AI frameworks and automation capabilities.
  • Help establish development patterns, integration standards and engineering best practices.

What you will need:

  • Strong programming fundamentals with experience in languages such as Python, C# or similar.
  • Ability to work across multiple technologies and adapt to different enterprise systems.
  • Experience working with SQL and building data integrations or pipelines.
