An opportunity to lead the development of large-scale, data-driven SaaS platforms used to analyse and visualise complex financial datasets. The position involves managing a team of engineers while remaining closely involved in architecture, system design and technical direction. The platform is built using cloud-native infrastructure with Python services, modern web technologies and AWS.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately eight engineers across backend and frontend development.
  • Work closely with product leadership to shape the technical roadmap and deliver new platform capabilities.
  • Guide the architecture and development of scalable cloud-based applications.
  • Ensure strong engineering practices around testing, reliability, performance and security.
  • Contribute to system design decisions and oversee delivery of production-ready features.

Core Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and delivering software in production environments.
  • Background building or operating B2B SaaS platforms, including multi-tenant architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-native system design.
  • Experience working with Python backend systems and modern web stacks such as React or Typescript.
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges and communicate effectively with both engineering and product stakeholders.

Additional Experience

  • Exposure to data platforms or analytical tooling such as Spark, pandas, Snowflake, Databricks or DuckDB.
  • Familiarity with agile development environments and continuous delivery pipelines.
