An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Risk Management Associate to join a leading global financial services organisation. Working within the Supplier Management function, this role will support the governance and oversight of third-party risk activities across the business and contribute to ensuring regulatory compliance and robust supplier management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Third-Party Risk Assessments
- Review supplier contract requests in line with established risk frameworks.
- Identify areas requiring additional due diligence and ensure key controls and processes are followed.
- Recommend and implement process improvements where appropriate.
- Critical Supplier Oversight
- Maintain and update registers of critical third parties.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain exit plans, performance assessments and risk updates.
- Produce reports for key stakeholders on supplier risk exposure.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with specialist risk teams, including Financial Crime, Information Security, Data Privacy and Business Resilience.
- Escalate risks where necessary and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management procedures.
- Governance and Projects
- Support a range of third-party governance initiatives and regulatory projects.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas and actions to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist with enhancing supplier governance frameworks and processes.
- Contract Management
- Partner with Legal teams to review supplier agreements and identify contracts requiring amendment or termination due to regulatory or business changes.
- Policies and Documentation
- Assist in maintaining Supplier Management policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Ensure risk management documentation remains accurate and up to date.
- Produce clear and concise guidance materials for internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum three years' experience in third-party or supplier risk management within a global organisation.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to deliver updates and track progress effectively.
- Experience supporting end-to-end supplier risk and contract processes.
- Previous experience within Financial Services.
- Understanding of regulations impacting third-party and supplier risk management.
- Exposure to procurement or sourcing activities.
