A global investment organisation is seeking a visionary Head of AI to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions that drive measurable business impact. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role, blending deep technical expertise with strategic influence across the business.

You will set the direction for AI adoption, lead high-performing teams, and oversee the delivery of innovative solutions in areas such as enterprise search, process automation, client servicing, and investment analytics. Working closely with senior executives, you’ll ensure AI initiatives move seamlessly from concept to production, delivering real-world value in a regulated, high-performance environment.

Key responsibilities:

Define and own the organisation’s AI vision, strategy, and delivery roadmap.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI systems leveraging LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms, analytics pipelines, and knowledge management systems.
Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and ethical AI use.
Engage with senior business leaders to identify, shape, and prioritise high-value AI opportunities.
Ensure AI implementations uphold fairness, transparency, privacy, and explainability standards.

What you’ll bring:

8+ years’ experience in AI, ML engineering, or advanced technology delivery, with proven leadership at scale.
Track record of deploying production-grade generative AI applications and agentic systems.
Expertise in Python, Node.js and/or React, plus ML/AI tools such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and OpenAI APIs.
Strong understanding of data engineering, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical vision into business outcomes.
Background in financial services is a must for this role
